The new CCU-M5A is being introduced as a replacement/improvement of the very popular CCU-M5. The NEW CCU has been improved to allow longer cable lengths, audio from the camera and teleprompter functions when attached to the new CA-537/1 adapter, yet maintaining its very attractive price point and reliability. The CA-537/1 is introduced as a replacement of CA-537 and allows a teleprompter output from the Genlock connector. Note: the 14 pin output connector available on CCU-M5 is no longer available on CCU-M5A. If a 14 pin connector is required, the Sony Service center can install it at an additional cost.The CCU-M5A is fully operational with the new camcorders models DSR-370 and DSR-570WS. For intercom purposes CA-370 is needed.
